Sandywoods
Farm has several attractive and diverse spaces available for hourly or daily
rental by individuals and groups. We hope you will consider Sandywoods for your
next event, whether it be a class or workshop, meeting, retreat, fundraiser,
private party, performance, or any other gathering.
We
are located in beautiful Tiverton, Rhode Island, surrounded by preserved
farmland, woods, and open space. Without even leaving Sandywoods, you can visit
our art gallery, community garden, fruit orchard, pond, and windmill. Just
minutes away are pristine ocean beaches, hiking trails, antique stores, and
historic New England villages.
Our
43 Muse Way flagship building, the newly constructed Sandywoods Center for the
Arts (SCA), features a large hall with a cathedral ceiling, bamboo floors, and
lots of natural light. The building is handicapped accessible, and there are
separate men’s and women’s restrooms. The hall can accommodate 150 people when
the room is configured in a full tables-and-chairs setup, more with
auditorium-style seating. SCA rental includes, if you wish, use of our brand
new tables and chairs at no additional cost. We have 150 cushioned folding
chairs, twelve 60" round folding tables (which can each seat 6-8 people
comfortably), and seven 72" long rectangular tables.
The
SCA also houses the Sandywoods Kitchen. This state-of-the-art facility is
licensed as a commercial incubator kitchen by the RI Department of Health. The
appliances include two refrigerators, a freezer, a commercial mixer, an ice
machine, a six burner stove, three ovens, a griddle, and a dishwasher. All of
the equipment is brand new. (The kitchen does not include pots, pans, or
utensils at this time.) The kitchen can be rented in conjunction with the SCA
hall, or separately.
Two
smaller buildings on Muse Way are also available for hourly or daily rental.
Like the SCA, these buildings are newly constructed and feature bamboo floors
and large windows. They are handicapped accessible and include unisex
restrooms. These spaces can seat 25-30 people comfortably, and are the perfect
choice for smaller meetings or workshops, classes, small private parties,
etc. Rental includes (if you wish) use
of tables and chairs at no additional cost.
There
is ample parking at Sandywoods for your guests. They may park on either side of
Muse Way (the main road at Sandywoods), and there is also a large gravel lot
for overflow parking within easy walking distance of the SCA. “Event Parking”
signs are in place to help guide your guests.
